The Ugly Truth About Your Fish Oil
Hi, Dr. Sisskind here, Chief Medical Officer for RealDose Nutrition.
What if there was one thing you could do to prime your body to lose weight at an accelerated pace?
Something that takes just a few seconds a day, but also boosts your mood, improves your memory and increases your ability to focus.
Not only that, but is proven to increase your lifespan.
I'd bet you'd want to hear about it.
Here's a picture of 3 styrofoam cups, each containing a different brand of omega-3 fish oil.
You'll notice that in 2 of the cups the fish oil has eaten through the Styrofoam and is oozing out onto the paper napkin underneath. It's important you see this and I'll share the reason why in just a moment.
The Hidden Epidemic
But first, I'd like to talk about a hidden deficiency in Western society that's keeping a lot of us fat and unhealthy.
Number one: If you consume a typical western diet, you're not getting enough omega-3 fatty acids… even if you supplement.
Number two: If you are taking an omega-3 supplement, chances are better than 9 out of 10 that you're not taking the ideal form.
This ties back to that picture I showed you earlier. More on that in just a moment.
Why Omega-3's For Fat Loss
Remember how I said: What if there was one thing you could do to lose weight at an accelerated pace?
Well, if you consume enough of the right type of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA & DHA, in the right form, you'll prime your body for maximum weight loss.
First, it will cool your body's inflammatory response. Inflammation is the enemy of weight loss.
The more inflamed your body is from diet and environmental stresses, the harder it is for your fat burning hormones to communicate and operate at peak efficiency.
Inflammation is like a jet aircraft flying low overhead while your fat burning hormones are trying to carry on an intimate conversation, it just doesn't work.
Getting enough omega-3's can cut your risk of metabolic syndrome - a set of risk factors associated with obesity, diabetes, heart disease and early death - almost in half.
Omega-3's also boost your mood and reduce anxiety plus they help regulate your cortisol levels.
Cortisol is a stress hormone that causes accumulation of fat in the belly area. When you reduce cortisol levels you are able to get rid of dangerous belly fat and keep it off.
And, in a recent study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, subjects who took the real dose of omega-3 fatty acids every day over a 6 week period lost fat and gained attractive lean muscle…without changing their diet or exercise habits at all.
What's The Real Dose?
So what's the "Real Dose" of Omega-3's you need for the benefits I just mentioned?
Well, human studies confirm that you need 2 to 3 grams a day of Omega-3's, specifically EPA and DHA, to achieve those maximum weight loss, enhanced mood and longevity benefits.
But the problem is that popular over-the-counter omega-3 products only deliver 0.6 to 0.9 grams of EPA and DHA per day at best.
That's far less than the optimal dose. But it gets worse, because the inefficient form that most over-the-counter Omega-3's are in causes even less EPA and DHA to enter your bloodstream, compounding the problem.
Now here's that picture again. Each cup contains a different brand of omega-3 fish oil claiming to contain high concentrations of EPA & DHA.
But 2 of the brands failed what I call the "Styrofoam cup" test because the oil has eaten through the styrofoam literally minutes after I poured it in.
Notice how the 3rd cup is fully intact. It contains EPA & DHA in the form I myself take and recommend to my friends and family.
So what caused the other 2 cups to disintegrate?
Problem: Cheap Ethyl-Ester Form Fish Oil
It's because the omega-3 fish oil that ate through those 2 cups is in what's called ethyl-ester form.
In fact, the vast majority of omega-3 fish oils on the market are in this cheaper form that's a result of the processing fish oil goes through.
This form has a number of problems, it's difficult to digest and, like I said earlier, it's not as absorbable as the form I'm about to get to.
Ethyl-ester form is highly prone to oxidation. We all know that rancid fish oil smells bad, but it also wreaks havoc on the body by increasing inflammation, making it even more difficult to lose weight.
Finally, in order for it to have a fighting chance at absorption, ethyl-ester fish oil must be taken with food.
So why do they bother with this form? Because it's CHEAPER to manufacture AND the U.S. government does not require companies to label what form of fish oil is in the bottle.
TG Form Fish Oil Is The Real Form
So what do I take and recommend for my friends and family?
Omega-3 Fish Oil that's in the natural triglyceride or what's called TG form.
This is what's naturally found in wild-caught fish.
You see most companies skip the step, after purifying and concentrating the fish oil, of taking it back to the natural TG form, which is 1.7x more bioavailable than the cheaper ethyl-ester form.
TG Form fish oil is much more shelf stable than EE form, which means it doesn't go bad as quickly.
And, something I really like, TG form fish oil can be taken without food because it's already in the form naturally found in all fish.
You may also have heard about some "alternative" forms of Omega 3's, like Krill Oil, that are claiming to be superior. I've researched these claims and have NOT found them to be credible. In addition, many scientists believe that the harvesting of a rapidly diminishing Krill population is not sustainable and is harmful for the ocean's eco-system.
That said, I've found the TG form of Omega-3 fish oil to be not only the best omega-3 delivery system available, but also to be the most sustainable due to the quick replenishment rates of the types of ocean fish being harvested.
So I've come up with a saying that I use whenever anyone asks me what omega-3 fish oil to take, and that's:
If it's not TG, it's NOT for me!
There Are 3 More Big Problems With "Regular" Fish Oil!
But even if you're already taking a fish oil that's in the natural triglyceride form, and chances are very good that you're not, there are 3 more BIG problems with nearly every other omega-3 fish oil on the market:
The first is that you need to take up to 8 large soft gels to get the same 2-3 grams of omega-3 fatty acids for the health benefits I spoke about earlier.
This makes the whole process of consuming fish oil not only inconvenient, but for some people, nearly impossible to swallow.
The 2nd big problem is that omega-3 fatty acids are best absorbed in the small intestine. In fact, a published study showed that delivering fish oil to the small intestine, rather than letting it mix with the acids in the stomach, increased omega-3 absorption by over 300%.1
And finally, another problem associated with letting fish oil slosh around with your stomach acid is that it can cause unwanted fishy burping and reflux. This can be downright uncomfortable, not to mention the potential for embarrassment due to bad breath.
The good news is that I've done the research and come up with a solution for all 3 of these problems.
The solution to what I call the "Horse Pill" problem comes to us from Continental Europe, where the most innovative Fish Oil technology in the world is developed.
A new, cutting edge, eco-friendly process called "Super Critical Concentration" produces the purest and highest potency EPA & DHA fish oil on the market.
By utilizing this breakthrough method, you can dramatically reduce the number of soft gels necessary for delivering a therapeutic 2.4 grams a day of omega-3 fatty acids.
And an added bonus of this new process is that it produces truly pharmaceutical grade fish oil by reducing Mercury, PCB's and Dioxins to undetectable levels. This is why drug companies are licensing this technology for their own prescription omega-3 products.
But that still leaves us with the problems of absorption and the potential for fishy burping.
The elegant solution to this problem is the use of something called "enteric soft gels" that are designed to dissolve in the small intestine instead of the stomach.
Omega-3's delivered with enteric soft gels have been shown to be 3X more absorbable than non-enteric, which is a BIG DEAL when it comes to getting the maximum brain, heart and weight loss benefits.
No one would order an expensive dinner at a fine restaurant and throw ¾'s of it in the trash. But that's exactly what you're doing if your taking fish oil with non-enteric soft gels.
But here's the rub, most enteric softgels are either opaque or coated with the enteric material making the contents appear "cloudy." The coated variety can suffer from cracking and uneven coating distribution problems, which can result in reduced absorption.
The best solution I've found is an innovative technology called ClearEnteric™, which results in the enteric properties being inside the softgel material itself, eliminating the problems associated with enteric coatings.
ClearEnteric™ softgels give you maximum absorption and "fishy burp" reduction while still allowing you to clearly see the quality and purity of the fish oil inside.

It's Your Choice
As a middle-aged father of 4 young children, I often think of my mind as being my most important asset as I get older. Relaxing with friends, chatting with my wife, and sharing wisdom with my kids all require me to be fully present mentally.
Having done the research, I know that it's a medical fact that chronic inflammation can cause mental decline, accelerated aging and unwanted weight gain.
And now you know this, too.
So let me ask you:
"How long will you allow the damage of chronic inflammation to take its toll before you decide to do something about it and start living with the mental sharpness and vitality you deserve?"
My wife, Melanie, and I asked ourselves the same question, and our first and best action was to start taking RealDose Super Critical Omega-3 TG every day.
You see, when it comes to good health, I would never ask you to do something that either I wouldn't do myself or recommend for family and friends.
And I truly believe that every minute counts when it comes to dousing chronic inflammation.
So take the next step.
Use what you've learned today to keep your mind sharp, protect your heart and lose the unwanted weight.
Select the option below to get started with RealDose Super Critical Omega-3 TG and join me, my family and thousands of others who've made this same choice for good health.
