“All of a sudden, I was 60 to 65 pounds overweight.”
When a serious hip injury crimped her style for a few months, Marcia discovered just how challenging maintaining good health can be.
“I couldn’t be active because I was basically bedridden for 3 months,” she recalls. “And I couldn’t eat as well as I always had—after all, you can’t be too picky when you can’t cook for yourself. I was on medications as I have never been in my life. All of a sudden, I was 60 to 65 pounds overweight.”
That experience—as well as the empathy gene that lives in her DNA—helps Marcia connect with the people she coaches. Her goal is to bring compassion to each individual’s search for “real” solutions that align with “real” life. With that in mind, she lives by famous words from the Dalai Lama: “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
