Fat Loss Fast Start Edition No. 3

Fat Loss Fast Start Edition No. 3:
The busy person's weight-loss tool(s)

Now that you've been taking Weight Loss Formula No. 1 for a few days, sit back for a moment and pay attention to what's going on in your body. Are you feeling a bit more energetic than normal?

For some people, the increased energy is palpable and immediate … for others, it's more subtle and takes a few weeks to become noticeable, as your system begins to de-stress.

Maybe you sense an elevation in your mood? This is the result of a powerful form of Rhodiola that's proven to fight anxiety.

Besides the energy boost, you might also notice that your cravings - especially sugar cravings - are starting to die down. Being aware of even slight changes in your cravings will be of great benefit to you going forward.

Your hunger hormone (ghrelin) levels are going down too... And as ghrelin levels decline, your cravings will have less and less control over you.

More Frequently Asked Questions:

When you start something new, a lot of questions pop up about whether you're doing it "right"...

So if you have questions, now's the perfect time to ask. Simply go to the bottom of this page, ask your question, and we're usually able to respond the same day.

I'll answer one very common question right now ...

Q: When will I start losing fat?

A: This is a good question, and I wish I had a definitive answer. But, well, it depends ...

For some people, it's almost immediate, while for others, it takes a while for the formula to kick in.

Here's an example from Marsha Holland, who lost 40 pounds using the formula ... but she didn't get results during the first month.

"... It's the ONLY thing that has made the difference for me and I've tried it all!

"At first I thought it wasn't going to work, but the second month it kicked in … Maybe my body needed a build up of all those wonderful ingredients, I don't know. All I know is the weight started falling off ... 40 pounds of it!"

This is very common, so I encourage you to be patient. And keep applying the tips I've been sharing in these posts.

Speaking of which, keep reading and you'll discover how to stay thin, no matter how busy you are.

The busy person's weight-loss toolbox

Let's face it: We're all busy. And finding the time to eat right and exercise can seem almost impossible at times. I have 4 young children, and I work very hard, and I can honestly say that busyness is my biggest struggle in maintaining a healthy weight.

So here are some tricks I use to stay trim, healthy and sane.

Trick 1:
Prepare meals and snacks in advance

My main tool for fighting busyness is preparing my meals ahead of time. I like to make big batches of super nutritious vegetable and bean soups. This supplies me with the protein and nutrients I need, and is low in calories.

I take 2 nights a week and make 3 batches of different kinds of soups, so we don't get bored. Each round of soups lasts our family 3 or 4 days. When I'm hungry, I just go to the fridge, heat it up and eat!

You can also cut up raw vegetables to have around for a quick snack. The trick is to find healthy foods that you like and to have them ready to eat at a moment’s notice.

And try to keep all the tempting processed foods OUT of your house! Temptation that's inconvenient is much more likely to be temptation that isn't acted on.

Trick 2:
A few sips of this could "rescue" your weight-loss plan from disaster.

Have you ever been in such a hurry that preparing a healthy meal was simply out of the question?

Or had late-night cravings with nothing "healthy" close by to satisfy you?

If you answered "yes," then I can tell you with confidence that these issues could be setting you up for a disastrous failure.

That's because most people who don't have ready access to healthy food when they're hungry end up settling for high-sugar, high-calorie meals or snacks, making it almost impossible to whittle your waistline.

Even worse are those "healthy" bars and shakes sold in health food stores ... in reality they only make your problems worse.

Because we couldn't find anything on the market we could wholeheartedly recommend, my team and I created a real solution to this problem.

By talking to our customers and scouring the scientific research, we developed a meal supplement that:

The result was RealMeal GF

Trick 3:
The RIGHT kind of exercise

Finding time to exercise is hard, especially if you're addicted to hourlong workouts. Or if you think that's what's required to lose weight.

Fortunately, current research shows you can lose MORE weight by exercising less. But you need to make sure it’s the right kind of exercise.

I know this from personal experience too. Until a few years ago, I was addicted to long cardio exercise. I liked to go for hourlong swims, or when I was "in a hurry," I'd spend 45 minutes on the treadmill.

And while it might be better than never moving your body, what I didn't realize at the time was that I could lose more fat by exercising for just 20 minutes - using this method...

It's called high-intensity interval training (HIIT). And study after study has confirmed that people who do just 20 minutes of HIIT lose far more fat than those who do long cardio.

High-intensity training comes in various forms. The basic idea is that you perform an exercise (i.e., sprinting, elliptical, etc.) at maximum intensity for 40 to 60 seconds ... then rest for twice that amount of time. Repeat for up to 18 minutes, then do a gentle cool-down.

Any exercise that gets you breathing heavily works - biking, sprinting, jumping rope, swimming, resistance training... as long as it gets your heart rate up and you can do it at maximum effort.

And the great side benefit is that it takes a LOT less time than an hour(s)-long cardio workout. The results will amaze you.

In a recent study published in the International Journal of Obesity, women who performed 20 minutes of HIIT 3 times a week lost 11% of their body fat mass over 15 weeks ... while women who did 40 minutes of cardio per day didn’t lose any body fat.

Why these shorter workouts work better

Intense activity starts a process called excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC). After you stop exercising, your body’s metabolism remains revved up for up to a few days.

This is not true of regular cardio, where you only burn calories while you’re exercising.

Plus, intense exercise actually builds lean, sexy muscles — while long-form cardio reduces muscle mass.

But it gets even worse! Long cardio can also cause cellular damage and wreak havoc on your joints. The exception to this is long walks, which can be very restorative and therapeutic.

For the sake of your time and your body, consider making the switch to HIIT. Limit yourself to 3 times a week ... start at your current level, gradually working your way up to higher intensity ... and check with your doctor first to be sure you’re able to handle this type of training.

You’ll find that RealMeal GF is a perfect muscle booster, post-workout, too. One of your best exercise allies.

Today's wrap-up

You now have lots of tools in your toolbox. WLF1 is starting to take effect, and you may be noticing more energy and fewer cravings.

Next time, I'll share with you how to cut - instantly - 300 calories a day from your diet, so you can lose weight even faster.

Finally, one important reminder ...

While HIIT will help you burn more calories, lean bodies are created in the kitchen.

To let WLF1 work its fat loss "doubling" magic, keep eating only nutrient-dense, low-calorie foods, and watch the fat melt off.

This is what happened to Marva Osborn, a cardiac nurse from Lompac, Calif. Marva has lost more than 25 pounds so far with WLF1, and here's what she had to say ...

"I work nights as a cardiac nurse, and weight has been slowly creeping up on me over the years. RealDose is making a significant difference for me. I read through the Fat Loss Fast Start plan and modified what I was eating ...

"Soon I was dropping a few pounds a week without craving chips and sweets like I had before. I don’t feel hungry and feel satisfied when I do eat ...

"I really enjoy Dr. Steve’s emails and insights. It's become a way of life, and I am feeling more energetic and am feeling like my youthful self again! Even at the age of 61 years!"

Thanks to Marva for sharing that. And she shows that weight loss is indeed possible even in your seventh decade. What’s your upcoming story?
